Java Benchmarking

In 1998 I became interested in the performance of various Java implementations across simple benchmarks. I ported the somewhat dated, but still useful Dhrystone benchmark to Java and began to test various JVMs and JPMs (Java Physical Machines). The results I have gathered so far are here. I shall be happy to hand out the source code for the JDhrystone benchmark under GPL to any interested parties.
